Sous Chef
We are on the hunt for an experienced full-time Sous Chef to join our kitchen team! The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, have extensive food knowledge, and display creative flair.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Support the head chef in running the kitchen, stock management, food safety and team development
- Supervise kitchen team in absence of the head chef
- Ensure high quality and presentation of all dishes
Three years of experience is essential for this role. It's available with an immediate start and with a four work day roster for a great work-life balance. Preference will be given to permanent residents/those with at least 6 months on their work visa.

Retail Manager - The Old School House Gift Shop
We're seeking a creative, driven and independent applicant to take over the day-to-day operation of the Old School House gift shop and online store. As well as a range of Cardrona Hotel merchandise, we stock some amazing locally-made wares from around the Wanaka and Queenstown area, supporting the talented makers and creators in our region.
This is a permanent, full-time and diverse role where you will be based in the Old Schoolhouse gift shop in a retail position that will see you working closely with the Cardrona Hotel owners and its team.
Cardrona Hotel is a busy destination and the Old School House is open 7-days. This position is five days a week, and as the retail manager you will be responsible for liaising with weekend / casual shop staff. This is a career role and we are looking for someone who is passionate and willing to put in the time to develop and grow the Old School House.
This role is available from August.
